Cheap Date

In the weeks between graduation and bar classes, we tried to get in as much as we could. While that sounds like fun, most of that meant spring cleaning the house. And although I'm grateful that I had Jeremiah's help in cleaning the house, I looked forward mostly to spending time as a family. One of the boys favorite outings was to Nickel City, which just opened up by our house. Every game costs between one and four nickels. Cheap, right? We paid $9 for our family to get in and then raided our change jar for coins.

Jeremiah tried to help the boys with their basketball game.
Bad picture (I realized later I'd turned the flash off) but I had to post it. Skeeball is Hayden's favorite game at the arcade. He got pretty good at it, too. And Aubrey loved trying to steal the balls for herself.
Another favorite was air hockey. They both didn't hit the puck that hard, and two out of their three games timed out before anyone won. And yes, as the picture might indicate, Hayden did get his fingers smashed by the puck.
Aubrey was a good sport, hanging out mostly in the stroller. I gave her the chance to walk around a little bit, but she used it as an opportunity to try to run away from me.
The boys earned tickets from their games that they cashed in for mini flashlights and candy. They even got Aubrey some candy and the cashier gave her a sucker.

What a fun place! We don't have anything like that around here. And I love Aubrey's cleavage picture :)

We need a Nickel City around here. That looks like so much fun! Remember we went to the nickelcade once before we had kids? That was lots of fun.
