Christina and I have had a few different playdates since I've been back. It's so much fun to get together with her and her kids. We never run out of things to talk about, and our kids are similar in age, so they generally play well together.
We went to the park on Friday morning before the weather got too hot. Jordyn was in school, so except for Aubrey, it was all boys - 5 to be exact. It was a fun park with a rope bridge and fireman's pole and slides, and the kids had a blast. I even came totally prepared with snacks, water bottles, a blanket for Aubrey to sit on, and lots of toys for her. I only share this because I'm usually ill prepared for just about any situation. Hayden even began inviting new friends over for snacks, and I eventually had to tell him to stop because unfortunately, I don't care to feed the whole flock of kids at the park. I also realized just how lax Hayden is about nudity - after using the little park restroom, he walked out still pulling up his underwear and pants. Some lucky kids got a free show!
We're totally continuing our playdate trend. The boys love playing with Jordyn, Austin, and Kade...(not Tyce so much, sorry Stina, he's cute, but the boys just don't find a lot in common with him right now). :)
Christina was nice enough to take some pictures for me...

Scotty and the Kid
I fell in love with some other men on our anniversary. There, I said it. It's out in the open. I feel so much better :)
We went to Scera's Outdoor Concert of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy for our anniversary (HUGE thanks to Ana Lee and Kory for the tickets!!!). I've been in love with this band since 1998 when I bought the Swingers soundtrack and later purchased their cd. I dance to their music on my IPod while I make dinner. It's such upbeat, happy music. A little bit of a sidenote...Aubrey's first attempt at dancing - so cute! - was to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy :)
So onto my new loves...
Scotty, the bandleader and vocalist. He has the best singing voice. I could listen to him all day.
Glen, or "The Kid". He plays the trumpet (obviously) and he's just awesome at it.
We started off our anniversary with a Parisian-inspired homecooked meal (see the recipe blog for the menu) and Jeremiah got me a dozen pink and red roses. He had each of the boys and Aubrey give me a rose, too, and Roman ran in the kitchen saying "Happy Birthday!"...so cute. We then headed to the park. Jeremiah was drawn to the smell of popcorn, so I picked him up a bag and snagged myself a churro while I was at it. We didn't get there super early so we were in the back, sitting on blankets, but I didn't care because we could still see the band and hear their music, and I got to snuggle with Jeremiah under a blanket, so that's all that matters :)
Jeremiah is such a great photographer huh. Here's the happy couple!!! Love you babe!
I tried to take pictures of the concert but I couldn't figure out my mother-in-law's camera and the pictures came out too dark...so I sort of broke the rules and videotaped some of the concert. Don't judge. They're awesome.
Anywho...I LOVE these guys!
I also love my dear husband...seven years and three kids later, we are still best friends! I'm excited for another seven years...and many more...with my sweet husband!

Posting without pictures
So we made it to Utah, but sadly we misplaced our camera somewhere between Des Moines, Iowa and Cheyenne, Wyoming. I think this has been my main reason for neglecting my blog - I really miss my camera! I had some great pictures on there, and I have had plenty of picture-worthy moments since that I have not been able to capture on film. It has been a great heartbreak for me.
The boys were really helpful in packing for our move, as helpful as little boys can be. They were so eager to pack boxes that against my warnings they packed most of their toys two weeks in advance and found themselves a little bored afterwards. I think they thought that whatever wasn't in a box wasn't going with us to Utah and therefore packed their precious toys well in advance to make sure they weren't left behind. Roman was especially interested in the packing process, and I had to unpack several of his boxes because he packed things like dirty diapers, Aubrey's door handle, the tv remote, and ALL of our shoes. Our ward was quite helpful too. In the last week of our move the kids were watched almost every day, dinner was brought to us, we had more boxes than we needed, and people showed up to help us move our heavy furniture. Aubrey was not so helpful, she was deathly afraid of the packaging tape and cried hysterically when I pulled out the dispenser. Most of the taping was done during naps and nighttime.
Jeremiah's brother, Steve, flew out to help us drive back to Utah. The boys LOVE their Uncle Steve. Steve drove the Penske truck quite a bit, with me behind the wheel of the Trailblazer, and Jeremiah rotating around giving us breaks. The kids managed pretty well. Roman loved riding in the Penske, Hayden preferred the Trailblazer (although he really didn't prefer anything, he made it a point to ask every mile or so if we were almost there), and Aubrey did okay, although I ended up sitting in back with her quite a bit to entertain her, feed her, and help her go to sleep. Our second night we stayed at the Little America hotel in Cheyenne. We went swimming, ate a delicious, warm meal - because after days of fast food we needed something good - and slept in comfortable beds. We really appreciate all Steve did for us, even if him and Jeremiah together is a bit too much testosterone for me! We made it to Utah on Sunday afternoon and immediately went to Scera Park to meet up with my family. My mom, sisters and their kids, and Kory and Ana Lee had just come from a family reunion and we met up for dinner before they headed back home. Even though we only saw them for about an hour, it was a nice way to end our road trip. I haven't seen my mom since February and my sisters since May. Mom treated us to KFC and the kids played in the playground for a little bit.
Sunday night we unloaded the Penske. Thanks to all those who helped!!! Jeremiah found a great little townhome in South Orem. It's 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 3 levels. The top floor has two bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. Aubrey sleeps with us and the boys share a room. So far it's working out okay. The main floor has a kitchen, family room, and bathroom. The kitchen has a deck where we keep the grill and it has an AMAZING view of the Provo valley, including the Provo temple, BYU (hello Stadium of Fire!), and all the way to the windmills in the Spanish Fork canyon. Every morning I stop to look at the view before starting my day. The kitchen also has a great pantry. The basement has a 3rd bedroom that we've made into a playroom, and a family room with a little kitchen that we've made into a workout room and scrapbooking room. It has a walkout to a little backyard. I love our little place!
So now it's Friday and we are almost settled in. We still have a lot of unpacking to do in the bedrooms, but the main floor is put together and we finally got our cable, internet, and phone hooked up. Jeremiah's sister, Amy, ordered us Brick Oven, we've run our share of red lights, and I've been to SuperTarget a few times. We feel like true Utahns again!
