This is a short, bittersweet post.
Jeremiah's dad passed away yesterday after suffering a heart attack. It has been a hard few days for us, especially Jeremiah. We are headed to Utah on Wednesday to be with his family.
It is amazing the things you think about when something as unexpected as this occurs. We are grateful for the time we had with him, and we have been taking turns coming up with random memories. Norbert was a constant in our busy, moving lives. He loved Hayden and Roman, who in turn loved him like crazy. Our biggest regret is that they will not grow up with him.
This is a difficult thing to write about. We love him, we miss him. There is so much to say, yet I can't put it into words. Thanks for everyone's love and support.

Kel. I am sooooo sorry to hear about your father in law. I can't imagine what you are going thru. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Miss you and love you.

Well, if that didn't make me a little teary! What a sweet picture of Norbert and Hayden. Hope you are holding in there and let us know what else we can do to help.
Hey sorry we are so far away and can't do a lot for you! I agree with Carissa that the picture of Norbert and Hayden is so adorable - you need to frame it and put it in Hayden's room. Let us know if you need anything (except money - we don't have any of that!) and we love you all lots! Tell Jeremiah that we love him too and that we are so sorry!
Yes, you should frame that picture! It makes me cry every time I see it! It really shows the bond Hayden had with his grandpa.
It was such a shock to hear about Norbert. He seemed so young and Jeremiah is too young to be without a dad! It made me think of my dads and how much I love them. Life is too short. I'm so glad you lived in Utah as long as you did and that your kids were able to spend as much time with him as they did. In a way, it was a great thing you worked and he helped babysit. Love you and I'll see you soon!
I'm so heart broken by this news. Losing someone so close is always hard especially when its so unexpected. Our thoughts and prayers are w/ you and Jeremiah and his family. At times like these its even more of a blessing to have the gospel and now that there will be a time to be together again. Best of luck on your trip.
Hi Kelli,
My name is Isabelle and I am Josette's younger sister, Jeremiah's aunt. I was surfing the net today and found your blog. I heard about Norbert Sunday night as I was coming back from a conference I had in Texas. I called Josette on Monday. Please tell Jeremiah that I am sorry about his Dad and give him my love. He does not know me very well or at all as he was little when I went to BYU. I had no idea you lived in Toledo. I have been in Michigan for the past 6 years. If you ever want to get in touch with me, my e-mail address is: isabelled6@comcast.net. Again, please tell Jeremiah that I am sorry for his loss.
